Our Parent & Child Drop-in Programs offer child health and development support, parenting skills, nutritional literacy, physical activity, and educational milestone support in a fun and welcoming environment!

Our Family Wellness Programs are proudly sponsored by the Community Action Program for Children (CAPC). CAPC projects have been supporting children and families facing adversity since 1993.

Jungle Gym

Ready, set, go!

​

Jungle Gym is a movement and free exploration program that encourages children to engage in BIG play! Through the use of toy cars, bikes, tunnels, tumble mats, hoola hoops, parachutes and more, your child will develop valuable gross motor skills needed to promote a healthy and active lifestyle! 

Starts September 11!

Eating Watermelon

Snackaroos

Healthy eating.. but make it fun!

Snackaroos is a nutritional literacy program that aims to teach families about the importance of proper nutrition and how to effectively fuel our bodies in a fun and engaging way! Our facilitator will guide children and parents through preparing and creating fun and healthy snacks to then sit down and enjoy as a group.

Snackaroos helps to promote a healthy relationship with food from a young age by exploring likes and dislikes, providing age appropriate nutritional information as well as providing parents with additional kitchen skills, nutritional knowledge, and access to resources.

Little Artists

Let's get messy!

Little Artists provides fun and engaging  opportunities for children to explore their creativity while developing key fine motor skills! Through painting, drawing, cutting, tracing, gluing and more, children will engage in activities that promote hand eye coordination, cognitive skill development, and free expression!

Fresh Air Friends

Nature called, and it want it's friends back!

​

Fresh Air Friends is an outdoor education program that promotes curiosity, nature exploration, and gross motor development. Families will examine the changing seasons and explore the activities and opportunities unique to each one! In the summer children will enjoy activities such as cooling off at our on site spray pad, park play, gardening and nature walks, while winter may offer opportunities for tobogganing, skating, snow sculptures and more!

Storytime

Books for Breakfast

Is there anything better than books and breakfast?

How about both!

​

Books for Breakfast is a literacy and nutrition based program where families get to enjoy a delicious and nutritious breakfast while following along with books and stories being read aloud. Following breakfast, families will participate in literacy games, activity sheets, guided learning opportunities and more!

 

Families in attendance will also be provided books that have been generously donated by the Regina Public Library to take home and continue their learning journey!

Stay & Play

Playtime is not just about having fun, its about learning too!

 

Play is at the core of childhood development.

In Stay & Play, children will experience and learn about the world by exploring their physical environment, expressing their emotions and building their vocabulary through playful moments at their own pace. Every child is unique and experiences the world around them differently. Stay & Play provides a space for children to learn, grow and explore on their own terms!

Cookie Monsters

C is for Cookie, That's good enough for me!

In Cookie Monsters, children and their caregivers will work through the recipe of the day by collecting, washing and preparing, ingredients and following along with our facilitator to create a delicious snack! Children will learn to safely handle kitchen equipment, how to measure and mix, how to clean up after themselves, and set the table before sitting down to enjoy their treat as a family!

Little Einstein's is an opportunity for children to learn about the world around them by asking questions and discovering answers! Families will participate in games, experiments, activities and guided learning opportunities  that help familiarize children with the science based concepts that make our world so remarkable!

Mini Math

Numbers and patterns and shapes, oh my!

In Mini Math, children will partake in activities surrounding patterns, numbers, shapes, and sorting to introduce them to early mathematic concepts. By engaging in activities such as sorting by color or number, creating patterns, counting, exploring shapes and more, your child will learn key problem solving skills to kickstart their early numeracy journey!
